Shawn M. Henry is a U.S. military veteran, entrepreneur, and dark fantasy author based in Tacoma, Washington. After 22 years of service across the U.S. Navy and Army—navigating war zones, water routes, and the kind of high-stakes environments that reshape a person permanently—he transitioned into something equally demanding: building worlds on the page.
What began as late-night writing sessions became the Unbound Chronicles—an interconnected dark fantasy universe rooted in biblical mythology, cosmic rebellion, and the voices history tried to silence. At its center is Lilith, one of the most misunderstood figures in ancient myth, reimagined as something far more dangerous than a warning.
Shawn writes fiction that doesn't ask permission. His work blends battlefield realism with mythic grandeur, exploring power, identity, and what it costs to defy the order you were born into. He is the creator of three active series — Lilith Unbound: Chronicles of Defiance, Sir Jaydee Hanuman, and The Queen's Herald: Ink & Blades — with a fourth series, The Gospel of Adam Emmanuel Bones, currently in development.
When he's not writing, Shawn runs Vital Route Logistics Services LLC, a veteran-owned freight transportation company based in Tacoma. He tends a garden of roses and an apple tree planted in Lilith's honor—a quiet monument to the story that started everything.
